Hi me too fam,
00:00
please help us welcome Ariana Rivas and Naomi Gonzalez,
00:04
stars of the new film A Working Man.
00:12
Welcome, welcome, thank you,
00:14
of course. Thank you guys for coming in.
00:16
Congratulations first of all,
00:18
wonderful film. It was very thrilling,
00:21
very exciting. You guys have to check it out.
00:25
All right guys, so what was it like working with with
00:27
Jason Statham? You know,
00:29
he is one of the top 5 bald guys in the industry
00:35
He was amazing to work with.
00:38
Is that a grenade?
00:41
This is nothing like Fortnite.
00:43
And she got to like,
00:44
you know, really study him and learn from him.
00:46
Yeah, that's right.
00:47
And in terms of like his actions,
00:49
his punching, how does he throw a punch,
00:50
how does he work the the cameras when he's doing an action
00:53
moment. So it was cool to see him in that
00:56
light. He's like.
00:56
Our adopted family in the film.
00:58
So, so we got to play on that side of Jason
01:01
which was wonderful to see.
01:03
Yeah, it was so much more like light soft and we
01:12
got both sides. The man has range not just the scary
01:13
bald guy. I know,
01:16
I mean, I know that you,
01:17
you know, you had to channel your inner mama bear,
01:19
you know, to play this character.
01:22
Jenny's missing. Can you help us?
01:24
I can keep this sign running smoothly.
01:26
No, help us find Jen.
01:29
So how did you connect with with the character and and just
01:32
really bring that you know protective side out of you?
01:34
My mom, first and foremost,
01:35
you think about your relationships that you have with yourself and with
01:38
others when you open up a script.
01:41
So first, my mom,
01:42
definitely a big mama bear,
01:43
and then I'm a Cancer,
01:44
so we're naturally maternal.
01:46
Yeah, crap. Oh,
01:52
so I knew that my protective nature was already pretty strong there
01:55
and as soon as we met and David was like,
01:58
we don't have a lot of time.
01:59
I immediately like the whole time we would talk about anything,
02:02
it was just very like a natural protection,
02:05
you know, towards Ariana and she,
02:07
she definitely came through with that energy from the get go.
02:09
It was like, how are you doing?
02:11
How is your body doing with the physical activity?
02:13
Like she was checking in right away and and she also took
02:17
the initiative to really like she's like,
02:19
hey, I'm going on this excursion.
02:20
Do you want to come and so right off the bat we
02:22
were able to connect and and she came through with that energy
02:25
I say like on and off the screen,
02:26
she was, she was mama bear.
02:27
Yeah. And Ariana,
02:31
we saw the, the action scenes.
02:33
They were amazing. Tell us a little more about,
02:35
you know, how you prepared and how you pretty much gave
02:38
us all that in front of the camera.
02:40
Yeah, well, Jenny is quite the overachiever,
02:42
so seeing kind of all of the different avenues that she goes
02:46
down when it comes to physical activity and mental,
02:49
she,, she's a black belt in karate.
02:51
So immediately jumped into a karate lessons with a good friend of
02:54
mine, Alex. So just kind of opening my eyes to
02:57
the whole. idea of martial arts,
03:00
and it's so different.
03:01
I have a a dance and gymnastics background,
03:04
so I'm familiar with training every day and and staying physically fit
03:07
But the whole throwing a punch was was kind of different
03:11
for me because I would throw a punch like a dancer or
03:13
a cheerleader, very like controlled.
03:16
And so when I got in the training room,
03:18
they, they said,
03:19
OK, so form is great,
03:20
but we got loosen it up.
03:21
We gotta play with it.
03:23
So it was a fun journey and I had a great,
03:25
a great team. On board they just really took good care
03:27
of me throughout the the training process.
03:29
Do you feel prepared to take someone on in real life if
03:32
you like that's it.
03:36
Don't mess with her.
03:38
All right, we're gonna play a little game.
03:39
It's called Fight or Flight.
03:42
I'm gonna give you these situations and you're gonna tell me whether
03:44
you're gonna fight or you're gonna take off in flight.
03:46
OK. Somebody cuts you off in front of the line at
03:50
In and Out. Oh,
03:53
that's that. The little circumstances are different.
03:58
I was in and out yesterday.
03:59
If somebody cut me off,
04:00
we would have had problems because you know that line.
04:04
I would be flight just because I know I'm gonna be stuck
04:06
in this line with them for a little longer.
04:08
They're either they're either in front of me or behind me,
04:10
and I'm just trying to eat.
04:11
I don't need that energy.
04:12
I'm those animal fries.
04:13
I don't know. What about your tia asking you about
04:18
your love life in front of the whole family.
04:23
I'm a combination of both,
04:25
you know, I like serve it back gracefully.
04:28
I'm like where I let them know like if we ain't going
04:31
there, but you're cute.
04:33
You keep for trying it.
04:35
A flight. I'm picking up your stuff to the next room
04:45
What about a friend of yours using canned salsa?
04:50
Oh, I didn't know that existed.
04:51
Oh yeah, I know that jarred salsa maybe.
04:56
I got, I got a teaser just a little bit.
04:59
Like, where did you find this and why did we choose
05:01
this today? I I would fight in the sense of like
05:04
don't do canned and if anything,
05:05
put it in a container that looks like you made it homemade
05:09
There you go.
05:10
Yeah, I got you like right like no.
05:12
What about a date that asks you to split the bill on
05:15
the first date? What's the first date?
05:18
So it would just be one of these or like,
05:20
oh, noted. And honestly,
05:24
I'll I'll offer anyway.
05:26
So then if they take it up,
05:27
it's one of those where I'm like,
05:28
OK, I'm going to remember that.
05:30
Sometimes fighting is you know a subtext.
05:33
You just put a brick wall that you have to hurdle over
05:35
and I thought this was the first date and you were interested
05:39
Listen up, boys and girls,
05:41
y'all dancing this. Take notes.
05:46
Well, thank you so much for joining us ladies.
05:48
We appreciate it again one more round of applause.
05:53
And me too, fam,
05:54
make sure you check out A Working Man out in theaters now
